Simple Faith

Lately I've felt challenged to not just examine my Faith, but to get back to basics. Often we find ourselves looking for a deeper understanding of Theology, analysing not just ours but others beliefs. This is of course not a wholly bad thing as we must and should grow in our understanding of the Father. … Continue reading Simple Faith

Grace and the Velveteen Rabbit

What can I say about Grace and the Velveteen Rabbit? To be honest I really can't say it any better than Margery Williams in 'The Velveteen Rabbit' itself. A book that has delighted children and adults alike for almost a century. (image courtesy positive vibes)         'Once you are real you can't be ugly, except … Continue reading Grace and the Velveteen Rabbit

The First Christ’s Day Carol

What of the first Christ's Day Carol? The first Christmas song that echoed through the heart of the earth with the sound of heavenly chorus. Not that which is sung but rather that which is experienced. Not simply the Nativity,  but the heaving of God and all he has created in the birth pangs of his coming Son.

Watch “[Aramaic] Psalm 53 in Georgia (for pope Francis) – REMASTERED” on YouTube

This piece leaves me wonderfully chilled. A beautiful rendition done in a language to which Jesus would have been very familiar. This piece illustrates the power and unity of our love in Christ and our shared Faith regardless of language, liturgy or denominational expression of worship. I hope you enjoy this offering for Friday night … Continue reading Watch “[Aramaic] Psalm 53 in Georgia (for pope Francis) – REMASTERED” on YouTube

Thurspiration- Redeeming Grace Remastered

Grace is something that we tend to talk about a lot, and with good reason. Without it our salvation in Christ would cease to exist. It is the centre-pin of our breath, for without which we would simply be empty vessels doomed in our own Sin to be separated from the Father.  Tweet: 'A new … Continue reading Thurspiration- Redeeming Grace Remastered

#Monday Ministry – He Chose YOU!

Heaven Getting ~

CHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

Lord, let me not honor You,
with my lips only
but with a heart that is . . .
devoted to You solely.

Let me not profess,
my undying love to You
only to go into the world
and follow what others do.

Let me not disobey,
the commands You taught
by living a life of hypocrisy
and doing whatever I want.

Let me not think,
it’s all about heaven getting
but, about right here and now
and any sin that is besetting.

Lord, let me not fool myself,
thinking hidden sin You can’t see
lest I hear You say one day . . .
you never really knew Me!

~~~~~~
Matthew 7:21-23
“Not every one that saith unto me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that
doeth the will of my Father which
is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that…
Independent Or God Dependent?
Pure Glory
by Hazel Straub
The bigger the battle that we face, the bigger the victory that we will see. When we face big problems and obstacles, we cannot depend on our own strength and ingenuity. We need to come to the end of ourselves and trust in God to give us victory.  God-dependency and not self-dependency.
Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom,
    but my miracle deliverance can never be won by men.
    Our boast is in the Lord our God,
    who makes us strong and gives us victory! (Psalm 20:7 TPT)
God’s Character
Pure Glory
by Hazel Straub
The character of God includes righteousness, holiness, integrity, reliability, fulfilling his word, lovingkindness, mercy and grace. He does not treat us as we deserve but is merciful. When we know him, we have no problem trusting and relying on him. He is our refuge and strength.
God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through? (Numbers 23:19 NLT)
Weak? God Is Strong!
Pure Glory
by Hazel Straub
Feeling challenged by the circumstances surrounding you? Unsure whether you can overcome?
God says, “It is not how big the problems, but how big I AM. I AM more than enough. When you think that you will fail, cling to me and I will do the impossible through you. Obey my instructions and you will prevail.”
And he (Gideon) said to him, “Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” (Judges 6:15 ESV) And the Lord said to Gideon, “With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.” (Judges 7:7 ESV)
But he said to me (Paul), “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore…
